This role will be responsible in providing leadership, consultation, and coordination of clinical informatics systems and processes that integrate nursing and information science for patient centered care. The manager is responsible for planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems as they relate to nursing practice and clinical processes. The manager supports and works collaboratively with nurses, nursing leaders, the interdisciplinary team, IT staff, and other organizational leaders in improving information for decision making.

Responsibilities 1. Provides leadership support to patient care units, clinics, and administration in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining efficient, effective clinical information and operational systems.
2. Facilitates the integration of clinical information systems and processes into the organizational goals to advance professional nursing practice and patient and family centered care.
3. Leads nursing and organizational efforts to integrate the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) with EHR planning and implementation.
4. Analyzes complex clinical operations and builds processes to facilitate decision making regarding clinical information systems and associated work processes.
5. Partners with Information Services and EHR staff and administration in carrying out responsibilities.
6. Understands the impacts of decisions and actions on budgets. Utilizes resources and time to minimize costs.
7. Continually improves processes and systems to facilitate evidence based care planning and safe patient care.
8. Acts as a constructive change agent and role model for informatics systems implementation and adoption.
9. Assists with training and development and participates as a trainer/educator for clinical information systems as needed.
10. Maintains knowledge of Joint Commission and other relevant regulatory requirements and provides advice regarding information system impact on meeting regulatory standards.
11. Develops documentation standards and policies and procedures pertaining to nursing use of clinical information systems, consistent with organizational policies/procedures.
12. Develops and utilizes methods of obtaining feedback from system end users. Responds to and follows-up with staff and leadership concerns in a timely manner. Uses aggregate feedback to improve overall systems to enhance patient satisfaction, patient safety, and nurse satisfaction.
13. Communicates complex concepts and issues effectively (written and orally) across all levels within the organization. Facilitates problem solving within and between departments.
14. Represents professional nursing practice on appropriate committees, work groups and task forces as needed to facilitate the ongoing process of design, implementation, and revision of automated work processes for clinical information systems.
15. Conducts meetings and presentations effectively and professionally.
16. Maintains a broad knowledge of hardware, operating systems, applications, operational analysis and protocols. Alerts staff and clinical administration to developing trends as well as future issues and concerns.
17. Supports and actively contributes towards organizational goals for patient safety, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and fiscal viability.

--Graduation from an approved school of nursing and three years of clinical nursing experience
--Prior clinical informatics experience – minimum 2 years
--Prior experience with EPIC applications and implementation.
--Masters in Nursing, Informatics or health related field.
--Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree must be in nursing
--Must possess current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Nursing as a registered nurse.
Preferred:
**Certification or eligibility for certification in clinical informatics.

Our family-centered approach to care is designed to support the whole family during the acute and reconstructive phases of a child's injury. Located in Greenville, SC, our hospital treats children from all over the country and around the world, and has unique relationships with some of the top hospitals and universities in the world. We are currently seeking a Clinical Analyst II.
The Clinical Analyst is responsible for implementing, supporting and maintaining information systems in clinical areas. Daily activities include training staff in the clinical information system, troubleshooting issues with the clinical information system, and report writing. During the implementation of future modules within the clinical information system, the clinical analyst is responsible for process flow analysis for all processes across the hospital affected by these systems, training of all staff affected by these changes, and troubleshooting any problems that may occur. Position requires the following: - Must be an RN or other licensed healthcare professional or have prior experience as a clinical analyst.
- 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience required.
- Must be PC literate and experienced using Microsoft applications.
- Must have the following: formal presentation skills, time management skills, project management skills and organizational skills.
- Communication, personal interaction and strong analytical skills are essential.
