Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst (ROI)

This is a senior analytic position reporting to the Medical Director and is responsible for completion of ROI analyses for our client base. In this role:

• You will identify and evaluate opportunities for enhancing ROI methodologies
• You will develop and implement ROI process efficiencies
• You will perform data mining and analysis to assist the Medical Director and Director of Informatics in evaluation of outcomes

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Completion of ROI analyses for client base and assist in the presentations.
2. Assist in the development, and implement ROI process efficiency and accuracy.
3. Plans and coordinates with organizational management to set priorities to organizational business goals and data management issues.
4. Applies knowledge of hardware capabilities, subject matter, mathematics and logic to the implementation, documentation and maintenance of software applications and databases.
5. Monitors the efficacy and status of projects, deliverables in the context of goals and deadlines.
6. Balances resources, needs and technology.
7. Mining data to assist with publications and demonstration of value.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

1. BA in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science or other appropriate analytical discipline required.
2. Minimum 3 years experience as an actuarial or financial analyst in managed care.
3. Experience in health care analytics and working directly with employers, health plans, or other health care purchasers.
4. Experience working with large healthcare data sets, ROI calculations and healthcare utilization matrix.
5. Proven statistical and quantitative science skill sets with ability to interpret complex health care data.
6. Thorough understanding of healthcare cost drivers, data connections, SAS, and SQL databases.
7. Knowledge of commercial software packages including Windows 2000, Word, Excel, Access, Crystal Report, SQL, Java, Visual Basic, SAS and ANSI X12 format.
