Director, Clinical and Ancillary Systems;
Nursing Informatics Specialist
- The Director will lead the clinical technology team including ancillary systems and nursing informatics.
- Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Informatics, the Director will be responsible for ancillary systems implementation and Nursing Informatics and leads the clinical IT team and ensures that the work activities of the application group are prioritized and completed on schedule.
- Reviews and evaluates work of staff and manages departmental performance Coordinates and integrates clinical applications and workflow with other areas and serves as a key liaison with the business leaders of OSF Healthcare System.
- The Director is responsible for the design of clinical information solutions including nursing and ancillary applications.
- Provides clinical subject matter expertise to translate data into actionable knowledge in the daily nursing and clinical practice. Works in partnership with leadership and staff to translate clinician requirements into specifications for clinical information systems, and to redesign work flow in clinical areas.
- The Director will provide leadership and support for the transformation of care processes across the continuum of care. Previous experience implementing EHR, CPOE systems in a multi-hospital setting required.
Five years healthcare IT and management experience preferred.
Possesses an understanding of Nursing Informatics.
Bachelors degree and clinical nursing experience required.
Masters degree preferred.
