| Integrated Clinical Systems Application Analyst Job Description: The Programmer Analyst: - The integrated clinical systems application analyst will actively contribute to an innovative team dedicated to establishing a new foundation for advancing clinical delivery and quality outcomes.
- Fulfill multiple roles throughout the development, implementation, management, and on-going support of UCSD Medical Center comprehensive clinical information system.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of the EMR software as well as medical center operations and workflow, will work closely with the project team's clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality.
- Build data sets, master files, and reports, perform quality assurance and integrated testing and release new functionality to end-users.
- Understand current workflows that are supported by the existing clinical system and determine how best to maximize functionality to complement and improve the workflows.
- Assess implementation strategies and the impact those strategies will have on workflows and operations.
- Responsible for reviewing vendor software releases and updates to determine features desired and then implement them within UCSD Medical Center's system(s).
- Assist in maintaining current test and training environments and will participate in training end-users.
- Provide 7/24 problem management support and resolution for clinical systems.
Qualifications: - Experience and proven success in information systems development within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- Clinical background and experience that promotes a high level of credibility with clinical professionals.
- Demonstrated ability in analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods and planning.
- Ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving techniques.
- Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities and short and long term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills "
- Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
- Experience with Epic Systems' clinical systems products.
- Experience with Siemens Invasion clinical systems products.
- Implementation or end-user experience with Computerized Provider Order Entry.
- Nursing experience, RN Degree.
