CancerSymptoms.org is an informational website
targeted to cancer patients and caregivers. The site is hosted by the Oncology Nursing
Society (ONS), a professional organization of more than 30,000 registered nurses and other healthcare providers
”...dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, research, and administration in oncology nursing.” According
to the ONS website, the stated mission of ONS is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.
The CancerSymptoms.org website is designed for patients and caregivers to provide information on learning about
and managing each of six common cancer treatment symptoms: fatigue, anorexia, pain, depression, neutropenia, and
cognitive dysfunction. The information is well organized and in depth with links to other relevant online, and
off-line, sources. My take: quality information from a trusted professional source.
