Hello and thanks for stopping by!

informaticsnurse.com started out as an idea over 4 years ago. It has only been within the past year that the tools have matured to the point to where we could easily "do what we wanted to do" with this site.

It is our hope that informaticsnurse.com will serve as an online community and resource that will bring together nursing informatics groups and individuals from all over the world.

You can help to "build" your community by submitting links that you think your colleagues would be interested in to our Links Library. If there is a category that you think we should add to the Links Library, please suggest it and we will look into adding it! Also, if you are involved with a nursing informatics degree program as faculty or as a student, please post your comments on the program in the Links Library. Your opinions could be valuable to propsective students searching for information on that informatics program.

I've just come accross this site although I've been working in nursing informatics for years - it would be useful to know a bit more about who is running the site & what it is trying to achieve.

I would recommend browsing through the jobs listed in our Informatics Job Forum - the job descriptions for the different postings should give you an idea of the different types of work available for nurses working in informatics.
