Walden University MSN Nursing Informatics Program

Does anyone have any experience with this program? 60 + credits from RN to MSN and a 200 hour practicum.
I need an online program as I work full time and have other commitments. I'm also looking at the MMI at Northwestern University.
Need a little guidance as I move forward with this next phase.

Cheers,

Jimmy

Re: Walden University MSN Nursing Informatics Program

Greetings! 60 hrs seems to steep. I attended the MMI open house at Northwestern a year ago when they just started the program and it looks like a solid program. It does not have any nursing subjects to it, a pro or con however you view it. You have to choose between the on-line or campus based programs. Currently they do not offer a combination of both. Give them a call.

Pros: Excellent Institution, GRE optional
Cons: Almost $3000 per course/subject is too much for me at this time!

I'm currently enrolled in Drexel University's RN-MSN program, I do believe they have an Informatics specialty. The staff have been excellent, taking all my transfer credits. Ed

Re: Walden University MSN Nursing Informatics Program

I am in my second semester at Walden. It is expensive, but I was able to get low interest student loans. I can still work fulltime, but I have to stay organized. So far, I like it!
