Experimental Diet a Fountain of Youth for Monkeys

Monkeys who were given 30 percent fewer calories for 20 years lived longer and had fewer diseases than monkeys with an average diet. Restricted diets have been shown to work in other species such as mice, but this is the first time a long-term study in primates has shown conclusive evidence that eating less extends life.
