Professor Protti World View Report: An Information Renaissance in Healthcare
Professor Dennis J Protti has completed the latest in his World View Reports.
The thirteenth in the series is entitled An Information Renaissance in Healthcare and comprises the second which is specifically on tele-informatics and compares the IT revolution within healthcare to the Renaissance.
In it, the professor details the impact that the ever-changing nature of healthcare information will have on the professionals working with the healthcare technology, as well as the relationship between the patient and the clinician.
He argues that despite these new technological innovations, it is really the people dealing with the technologies that determine whether or not they are successful. Professor Protti says: "As was the case for the Barber-Surgeons, necessity is spawning innovation in models of healthcare delivery and evolutionary changes to the traditional roles of health professionals and relationships between clinicians and patients."
