CHIME Creates New Scholarship for Women
Ann Arbor, MI, July 12, 2007—The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) recently announced the creation of the Women’s Healthcare CIO Boot Camp Scholarship. Available to both CHIME members and their direct reports, the scholarship was designed to enable more women to enter and move ahead in the healthcare IT profession, specifically into the healthcare CIO role. The scholarship is available to female candidates who show significant potential to become a CIO, or for female CIOs whose career will directly benefit from attending the Boot Camp program.
The scholarship will be awarded in the amount of the full tuition fee for attendance at CHIME’s Healthcare CIO Boot Camp. The popular Boot Camp is held twice yearly and provides attendees the opportunity to learn CHIME’s CIO Success Factors, seven critical and developable skills that are inherent in successful healthcare CIOs. The 2007 fall Boot Camp will be held from October 6-9 in San Antonio, TX.
Applications will be accepted for the fall scholarship until August 1, 2007. The winner will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony at CHIME’s Fall CIO Forum, being held from October 9-12, 2007 in San Antonio, TX.
