eHealth Initiative was held on October 20-24, 2004. Janet Marchibroda,
CEO of eHi told the audience “we are truly on the verge of great change. It’s no longer a question of whether we should
implement information technology, but how we will do so in the most effective way.” From Federal Telemedicine

David Brailer M.D., PhD, HHS, National Information Technology Coordinator, keynote speaker, said in the past,
people involved in information management thought that if information technology was made available, there would be a
demand for the technology. The truth is that demand has to be built on reality. In order for the technology to be
accepted, we need to have better information available on what products suit the needs of professionals and physicians
particularly in small practices, and we need to find the appropriate technology to suit their needs.
