Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (IFMC) is a healthcare leader in creating customized information management systems and is currently seeking a Sr. Program
Health Informatics Manager with leadership experience to join our rapidly growing team.
Position Summary and Essential Functions:
- This cutting-edge position will be responsible for being a liaison between CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and Iowa Foundation for Medical Care.
- The incumbent is responsible for Program/Project leadership, account management, guidance and management for program and project support activities to IFMC for the SDPS (Standard Data Process Systems) project.
- The incumbent will provide subject matter expertise and support in the design and development of the products.
- Will participate in the development and design of the software products, including enhancements, by providing subject matter expertise based on clinical knowledge.
- The incumbent may serve as liaison between the customer and the development and testing teams to provide technical, business and clinical expertise.
- Will require good writing skills, communication skills and organizational skills. 15% local or overnight travel is required.
Requirements:
- Four year degree in Information Systems, health care or business management or related field;
- 8-10 years experience in healthcare quality improvement;
- 3-5 years in a Leadership role;
- demonstrated experience in Informatics and/or Information Systems Technology. Experience working with Electronic Health Records and Healthcare Software systems and data reporting is preferred.
- Masters degree in field of Specialty preferred also.
- Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship.
