Healthcare Informatics Manager/Statistical Analysis

Salary $75K -$100K

Purpose

To provide the delivery of healthcare informatics services to all departments via the development of analytical and quantitative measures to support business needs.

Essential Job functions

Defines and develops analytical/statistical plans to support the delivery of projects internal and external clients. He/she also manages projects, people, customers' expectations, maintains a good teamwork spirit, mentors a team of analysts/researchers and oversees their day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Holding primary responsibilities of performing statistical analysis, data management, and project deliveries;
• Assisting the Director of Geriatrics Research in managing internal request research initiatives and proposals for research activities;
• Effectively managing internal and external communications for clarifying business requests and formulating them into analytical measures to meet the business needs;
• Integrating data from multiple sources related to complex or cross functional issues;
• Performing research, evaluation, investigation, and designing studies to support initiatives;
• Assisting the Director with staff organization, recruitment, orientation, training and assigning responsibilities, and maintaining staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining, planning, monitoring and appraising job performance;
• Maintaining professional network and publications by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Statistics/Bio-Statistics, Epidemiology,

Economics, Mathematics or other related field with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in health care industry.

Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and communication skills, are needed.

Strong SAS and SQL skill and database knowledge required.

Familiarity with data mining concepts and neural net are preferred.

MUST HAVE: Management experience.
