The Director of Health Informatics Consulting and Operations

The Director of Health Informatics Consulting and Operations will lead activities to deliver health informatics consulting services to existing clients, implement new health informatics consulting programs and assist sales/marketing in efforts to grow this line of business.

He/she will work closely with many internal departments to ensure the delivery of high quality health informatics consulting services to internal and external customers.

The Director will actively participate in the Company’s overall Informatics strategic planning, short-term and long-term business plans, forecasts and market opportunities.

The bottom line is, you will develop the overall strategy for development of the Informatics business model

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Direct and coordinate the delivery of health informatics consulting and analytic services in all locations.
• Serve as resource person for managerial, sales/marketing and support staff in solving problems relating vendors and accounts.
• Manage and motivate assigned staff.
• Make presentations as requested/required.
• Approve and interpret departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Conduct reporting analysis.
• Monitor all financial results, financial reporting and billing and revenue generation of the line of business. Also responsible for budgeting and financial forecasting of pricing and market conditions.
• Assist in the development of strategic, high quality, health informatics consulting products.
• Attend conferences and other meetings in order to stay informed of innovations and development in the health informatics field.
• Develop outcome criteria and direct the evaluation of health informatics consulting results with the specific responsibility to make recommendations to maintain/ improve those outcomes.

OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITY

• Provide general oversight of operations including: recommending and reviewing agreements relative to office lease and equipment, negotiating with external vendors and property manager as needed.
• Develops and manages the budget for the Informatics operation and Informatics Consulting line of business.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of general management, product development and sales and marketing experience
• Director level experience, at a fast growing healthcare company with heavy reliance on information technology as a competitive advantage.
• A solid background in healthcare services and healthcare informatics is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge base in healthcare informatics must include an in-depth understanding of current and future trends in the field.
• Strong knowledge of disease management programs and services is required
