Primary Function & Major Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership in the development,support & evaluaton of applications, tools,processes, and structures that help nurses manage information in direct care of patients.
- Leads Nursing Informatics vision and strategic plan to advance effective clinical decisions through application of informatics.
- Provides leadership, consultation, and coordination of clinical nursing and ancillary informatics processes and integration of these processes with system wide clinical information technology strategies.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in the State of MN.
- BAN/BSN required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing Informatics or other healthcare field.
- Five years of experience in health care with hospital clinical experience.
- Three years leadership experience.
- ANCC certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
- Demonstrated skills in facilitating change.
