Project Manager

Job Description:

- Manage all cross-functional aspects of the project; create the defined deliverables within the authorized budget and within an approved time schedule. Establish and maintain a usable and well-communicated schedule for all phases of a project. Delegate and manage tasks of the other functional core team members and manage scope to ensure the projects deliver on timeline, scope, budget and strategy expectations.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues and identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on specific client engagements.
- Communicate regularly with Functional Managers, Steering Committee Members, Executive Sponsors and other project stake holders to appraise all regarding status of the project
- Provide leadership to warrant team progress, promote the good of the company, resolve conflicts within the team and outside the team, and ensure project goals and assignments are achievable.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement to the Mediware Project Management Methodology and support Strategic Planning and Sales initiatives.
- Accountability for administrative tasks to include documentation for time management of each project, delivery of status reports and updates of account summaries.

- Responds to the needs and requests of clients and Mediware management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.
- Other Duties As Assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:

- BS/BA degree in Healthcare, IT or related field
- Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience in healthcare or vendor account management (Clinical Systems preferred)
- Excellent Communication skills, Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent Troubleshooting, listening and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Previous experience with clinical information systems, MS Project, MS Office, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
- PMP Certification a plus
- Pharmacy or Nursing experience a plus
