Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation Nurse Informaticist

Job Description:

• The Nurse Informaticist plays a key role in the implementation of the Epic system, helping to define nursing policies and procedures to reflect the changes that automation brings.
• Will serve as a translator to help ensure that patient care decisions are implemented in Epic accurately.
• Requires taking a leadership role with the Epic project team, acting as the clinical content specialist with specific CPMRC experience.
• Will work to establish the functional processes for successful implementation.
• This individual will be responsible for advocating Epic via several delivery methods including system demos, educational forums, one-on-one coaching, writing articles for newsletters, etc.

Qualifications include:

• Registered Nurse
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or nursing
• Six years work related experience in the information technology field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of hospital operations and the patient care process
• Epic Certification in Inpatient Clinical Documentation preferred
• CPMRC deployment experience preferred
• EMR implementation preferred Benefits
