Clinical Informatics Manager

DESCRIPTION:

• Administratively responsible for planning, managing and evaluating the Clinical Informatics program, including 24-hour responsibility of personnel, fiscal and material resources.
• Expertise in clinical care of patients, medical center operations, and clinical informatics is essential.
• Serves as a role model for bridging the functions of clinical care and information technology within all aspects of Medical Center, including inpatient services, outpatient services, home health, and perioperative services, and in both the adult and children’s divisions.

Required Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing or related profession in the State of California.
• Master´s degree in Nursing or related clinical field.
• Minimum two years of front-line clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience/training in clinical informatics.
• Experience as manager or assistant manager of a complex clinical unit or informatics department.
• Certification in medical/nursing/clinical informatics from an approved accrediting body.

License/Certification:

• Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing or related profession in the State of California.
• Master´s degree in Nursing or related clinical field.
