Clinical Systems Analyst - Information Services Staff
DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
Responsible to the Manager of Application Support. Works as an empowered member of a self-directed work team committed to common purpose and goals and holds self mutually accountable for team outcomes, under the general supervision of an Within-the-Team Leader. Exhibits behaviors that meet cultural expectations of the organization. Shares, as scheduled, a 24-hour, 7-day week responsibility for all aspects of team functions.
- The Clinical Systems Analyst assesses, plans, implements and evaluates information system support needs for patient care operations according to own clinical judgment, policies, procedures, protocol and standards.
- As an internal consultant, the Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for system assessment, process analysis, identification of system requirements, and functional definition of planned system changes.
- The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing information system solutions that support more efficient and effective work performance based on inherent knowledge of clinical functions and processes.
- The Clinical Systems Analyst develops and manages project plans for the deployment of new and/or changes to information system applications.
- The Clinical Systems Analyst administers system applications and serves as an educator and resource regarding system functionality.
- The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for functioning within scope of individual education, licensure and competence.
Education:
- Nursing Degree (AD, Diploma, preferred BSN, or MSN), graduate of accredited program and licensure as a Radiology Technologist, Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Medical Technologist.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Experience:
- IMPAC/TAMTRON experience preferred.
- Minimum of recent 5 years acute care experience.
- At least one year of information management experience.
- Prior experience with system analysis and implementation preferred.
- Education program development and presentation experience required.
- Experience with word processing, project management, and clinical applications required.
