Informatics Nurse Coordinator
Job Description:
The Informatics Nurse Coordinator plans, coordinates, facilitates and evaluates the implementation of the standardized instruments that support resident assessment and care planning in Continuing Care. The Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing assistance to the end users in the Continuing Care with regards to operation, maintenance and information retrieval. The Coordinator works closely with the Regional Information Management department
$250.00 per month - temporary Northern Living Allowance offered on a pro-rated basis, dependent on FTE.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with AARN.
- Valid Alberta driver's license.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is required.
- Graduation from a recognized Computer Studies program preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel an asset.
- Experience in the operation, education and maintenance of computerized nursing information systems.
- Three- to five-years of clinical nursing experience on continuing care centres and/or Home Care.
- Experience assisting computer users with problems related to operation of computerized information systems.
- Experience working with a team.
- Previous teaching or management experience an asset.
- Experience using the Meditech software an asset.
- Ability to take a lead role in system implementation, training, and evaluation.
- Ability to assist users with problem resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users.
