Nursing Informatics Liaison - Emergency Department

Position Description:

The Nursing Informatics Liaison works in the Emergency Department to educate staff to existing and developing documentation requirements within the Emergency Department Information Systems. The Nursing Informatics Liaison provides assistance and technical guidance to the clinicians working in the Emergency Department or impacted by the Emergency Department related to training or knowledge acquisition. The Nursing Informatics Liaison will also be involved in upgrades to existing systems and future clinical systems deployments. The Informatics Nurse will also work with the Information Systems team to improve the interfaces between hospital systems and vendors.

Qualifications:

* Current Massachusetts RN License
* Minimum five years of Emergency Department Clinical experience.
* Bachelor’s Degree required.
* Strong project leadership experience desired, preferably in healthcare hardware/software applications and upgrades.
* Individuals should possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate communications with medical and technical staff.
* A solid knowledge of ED Pulsecheck and the ability to educate clinical staff required.
* A strong knowledge of PC productivity software is also desired.
* Experience with staff education preferred.
Hours/Schedule:

24 hours/week. Varying schedule; rotation to all shifts required. Weekend rotation required.
