| A*new survey of senior healthcare exutives reveals that slow adoption of IT, followed by rising healthcare and technolgy costs, are serious threats to the healthcare industry. The online study was conducted by Harris Interactive for research and consulting firm Capgemini last month and the results released this week, according to an article in InformationWeek. The survey found that 38% of the executives polled think the slow adoption of IT, including electronic*medical records, is a top threat to the industry; 37%, think rising health costs are the most threatening. Respondents were asked to pick the two most serious threats to their sector of the industry from a list of more than two-dozen possible threats. The increasing number of people without health insurance or with under-insurance also ranked as a looming threat. http://medicalinformatics.weblogsinc...4000680029593/ |
