Post [medinformatics] Kodak Develops Faster Medical Imaging Film

Eastman Kodak Company has announced that it is rolling out a new general-purpose medical
imaging film, which can reduce patients’ radiation exposure by up to 50 percent.

The new film is called Hyper Speed G Medical Film. It is currently available in the U.S. and Canada, and will be
available in Europe, Latin American and Asia in May.

Reportedly, the new film is the first high-resolution radiographic film in 20 years to offer a significant reduction
in radiation dose. The film’s speed will also reduce the need for retakes when images are blurred due to patient
motion.
