*Hawaiin crooner, Don Ho, has sought treatment in Thailand for his ailing heart. Ho received an experiemental stem cell procedure not yet approved in the United States. Stem cells were taken from Ho's blood and then multiplied, at which point they were injected into his heart. The line of thinking is that the new stem cells will strengthen Ho's weakened heart and put him on the path to recovery more quickly than standard procedures.Ho was diagnosed with an undisclosed heart ailment about one year ago. He had a pacemaker installed but was dissatisfied with the results. He is currently in intensive care but showing strong vital signs.
