I am very pleased to announce that registration is open for the 3rd Annual MInnesota
Nursing INformatics Group (MINING) Symposium: Information Sharing in 2007. For those who did not receive a mailed brochure, here is the purpose of the conference:
This conference is designed for nurses and others in various informatics positions who seek to learn about the promotion of health information technology standards to improve the quality of care and patient safety. The speakers will present on several key aspects of technology-enabled care improvement and e-health, including integration of HIE standards to leverage health information technologies at local, regional, and national levels.
We are very proud to offer an AWESOME slate of speakers, including both national informatics experts and more local experts representing Minnesota public and private organizations.
The topics reflect many of the education requests our MINING members have submitted as well as topics of interest at a national level: Health Information Exchange, Standard Terminologies, Best Practices, Informatics Competencies, Evidence-Based Care/EB Practice, and e-Health standards.
As always, we have made every effort to control costs in order to provide tremendous value: Incredible speakers, 12.0 contact hours for a mere $125 (rate for MINING members; $150 for non-members), and we have submitted for and expect to receive
ANCC contact hour approval (NI recertification support!). That very reasonable price even includes meals! If you can find a better value, hey--share the news with us! :-))
MANY THANKS to Fairview IMS for hosting the MINING Symposium again this year--your support is so deeply appreciated!
Hurry and sign up, folks--seats are limited and we are advertising to other informatics groups. Hotel space is available at the nearby Sheraton and hotel shuttle service has been requested to the conference (see brochure) but book your rooms before September 13 in order to get the reduced rate. Please plan to join us on Friday evening for a networking dinner--last year we had a great turn-out and a wonderful time together.
