Senior Systems Analyst - Enterprise

The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing general hospital systems consulting and systems analysis. Emphasis will be on identifying and selecting possible system solutions and functioning as a user contact for Information Services. Responsibilities include educating individuals in and outside the department, make recommendations to peers, management and senior staff and relevant reports as requested.

Responsibilities

Participate in all projects, including new system selection, system implementation, benefits realization and re-engineering processes.
Utilize specific business/system expertise in determining or analyzing needs for automated systems. Participate in the development and clarification of user requirements and aid in system selection processes.
Consult and advise users, management, physicians, vendors and others concerning the purpose, features, functions and proper uses of new and existing systems.
Help to identify and recommend new and improved use of computer applications to enhance current processes.
Act as a point of contact for management and staff in assigned business areas related to information systems services.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Healthcare Informatics, along with 3 years experience as Systems Analyst (or equivalent business experience) desired. Some exposure to re-engineering and process improvement techniques is essential. "
