The Director of Clinical Informatics and Management Services directs, supervises, coordinates, plans and evaluates staffing activities and systems that support clinical informatics in order to provide cost-effective care of high quality according to the standards set at Marin General Hospital. Consults with and advises the Chief Nursing Officer and Nursing Directors and Managers on activities related to patient classification, scheduling, data management information systems and evaluation of outcomes and staffing effectiveness for the Nursing Department; implements changes in policy, programs and physical resources required to achieve hospital objectives. Ensures that professional staff is able to provide direct and indirect patient care and clinical services to the in-patient population of Marin General Hospital, and to recruit and to retain nursing staff in order that the number of staff is sufficient to accomplish these goals.
