| [nrsing-l] New ASTM Standard for Homeland Security [nrsing-l] New ASTM Standard for Homeland Security The December 2004 ASTM Standardization News reported that ASTM International Committee E54 on Homeland Security has approved its 1st standard, E 2413 Guide for Hospital Preparedness and Response. The document addresses such topics as suggested minimum levels of preparedness for acute care hospitals, effective development and utilization of a hospital vulnerability analysis, provisions for dealing with contaminated patients, coordination of operations with community assets.
