We are seeking detail-oriented and technology savvy clinicians for Epic Application Analyst roles that provide technical application support for the complex Epic applications. This is a great chance to grow your skills while continuing to focus on providing better care for our patients. The Clinical Analyst, who has a background as a nurse, pharmacist, or other clinical professional, works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and the Epic system. This person will use their understanding of business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This individual will work closely with IT and vendors. This position is responsible for ensuring effective technical operational practices and participating in delivering quality patient care. The person in this role will have very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively deal with vendors, peers and management (specific requirements are listed below).

About the project. Providence Health & Services is implementing Epic, a patient-centered clinical information system across our health care network in Alaska, California, Oregon, Montana, and Washington. We are adopting the entire suite of Epic modules, so we need people with diverse skills sets and backgrounds from all fields. Epic is a leader in clinical informatics and this project implementation supports our efforts to integrate clinical and financial records across multiple care settings. Your skills and talent on this implementation will help Providence continue to provide each patient with high-quality affordable care in the communities we serve.

Position specifics.
These positions are located in Renton, WA and will require travel to a number of our facilities during peak periods of the project. This role will have a demanding, full time work schedule.

Qualifications.
Experience, Education, & Certifications:
Clinical Application Analyst I: Requires Bachelors Degree plus 1 year of industry experience, OR Associates Degree and 3 years of experience, OR 5 years of related experience. Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is an advantage; clinical degree is a plus. Previous project management experience and experience in information technology as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization with multiple technology implementations is preferred. Must be willing to obtain Epic certification.

Clinical Application Analyst II: Requires Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of industry experience, OR Associates Degree and 4 years of experience, OR 6 years of related experience. 2 years of this experience is required in an IS and/or in a Clinical setting. Previous project management experience is required, Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is an advantage; Registered Nurse or Pharmacy degree is a plus. SQL proficiency preferred. Experience in information technology as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization with multiple technology implementations is required. Must be willing to obtain Epic certification.

Clinical Application Analyst III: Requires Masters Degree plus 2 years of industry experience, OR Bachelors Degree plus 4 years of industry experience, OR Associates Degree and 6 years of industry experience, OR 8 years of related experience. 3 years of this experience is required in an IS/Clinical setting. Previous experience with client/serve and host based systems, SQL proficiency, and previous project management experience is required. Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is an advantage; Registered Nurse or Pharmacy degree is a plus. Experience in information technology as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization with multiple technology implementations preferred. Must be willing to obtain Epic certification.

Clinical Application Analyst IV: Requires Masters Degree plus 4 years of industry experience, OR Bachelors Degree plus 6 years of industry experience, OR Associates Degree and 8 years of industry experience, OR 10 years of related experience. 5 years of this experience is required in an IS/Clinical setting. Previous experience with client/serve and host based systems, SQL proficiency and previous project management experience and experience in information technology as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization with multiple technology implementations is required. Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is an advantage; Registered Nurse or Pharmacy degree is a plus. Must be willing to obtain Epic certification.

Clinical Application Analyst V: Requires Masters Degree and 6 years of industry experience, OR Bachelors Degree plus 8 years of industry experience, OR Associated Degree and 10 years of experience, OR 12 years of related experience. 8 years of this experience is required in an IS/Clinical setting. Previous experience with client/serve and host based systems, SQL proficiency, previous project management experience and experience in information technology as a business analyst or systems analyst in a medium to large organization with multiple technology implementations is required. Clinical or Health & Life Science experience is an advantage; Registered Nurse or Pharmacy degree is a plus. Must be willing to obtain Epic certification
